Sabah Al Bahlani
CEO of Association of Early Intervention for children with Disability. She served as an expert on Health Promotion in the Ministry of Health from 2010-2012. In 2007, she joined UNICEF Middle East and North Africa Regional Office in Amman Jordan as Communication for Development Specialist between 2007 and 2009. Prior to joining UNICEF she worked as a Director of Health Education and Information in Ministry of Health Oman from 1990. She developed the Department and initiated many health education and health promotion activities in Oman. Sabah worked closely with the Ministry of information in developing health awareness programme in TV, Radio and newspapers. She also coordinated health education activities in Oman with other Ministries by unifying health, social and environmental messages, and production and distribution of material.

Sabah is also independent consultant working with World Health Organazation, UNICEF and other organazation conductining assessmet, developing communication stratagies, traning heallth and non health care worker developing communication for behaviour and social change plans. She has conducted several traning in Iraq, Tanzania, Algeria and Oman.

In addition Sabah is a one of the founders of handicap association for children with disability, association for Early Intervention for children with disability and Oman Women forum and Association for Professional women still pending for approval. She also is actively involved in women issues by being a member in women organization in Oman. Sabah was actively involved in training, research and implementing activities with different women association associations or center. Sabah is working in advocacy, communication, writing proposal and implementing communication activities.
Safiya Al Bahlani, is an Omani artist, graphic designer, and inspirational and motivational speaker.

She was studying animation and graphic design, but was not able to complete her studies, but on a daily basis she has been trying to teach herself through various tutorials and through practise.

Safiya is physically challenged young woman. She would like to draw the attention of Omani society to recognize that people with special needs, are unique, talented and able to contribute to the society.
She have been drawing and painting ever since she can remember and it has always been her way of expressing emotions and communicating her thoughts to the world.

Safiya was recognized for her skills when she was fourteen, then she started learning art under various teachers and artists.

At The American International School of Muscat, she took AP Art, which is an advanced program for art in preparation for studying art in college, where she started learning using different medias in art using various mediums and techniques.
During Safiya’s college years in Jordan she held her first solo exhibition, which contained thirty of her paintings. It was a wonderful experience and had many positive feedbacks that encouraged her to think of doing one in her own country.

In March 2011 in collaboration with an Omani fashion designer, Safiya had combined fashion show and art exhibition. The theme was derived from His Majesty annual speeches, which inspired her to incorporate them in a collection of dresses, and paintings.

Safiya just had he third solo exhibition, with Bait Al Zubair, at the Shangri La, Bar Al Jissah “Beneath The Surface”.

Currently, Safiya is trying to establish her own graphic design company.
